Main focus and challenges

As a member of the Divisional Marketing Communications team, this role will enable IMI Critical Engineering to configure, implement and operate our Marketing Automation system (Pardot) as a key component of our demand generation campaigns and Lead-To-Revenue process. The Marketing Automation Manager will drive the implementation and on-going administration of our marketing automation platform and deliver an excellent experience for our internal and external customers. The incumbent will be responsible for executing B2B email marketing campaigns and implementation projects in Pardot. You should be experienced in project management, marketing automation platforms (MAPs), email marketing and B2B demand generation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own Pardot implementation, configuration, data management, operations and working with the Salesforce Connector.
  • Liaise closely with other departments and engage stakeholders to ensure the Marketing Automation Strategy and tools are fully embedded across all integrated campaigns, and ensure ROMI is demonstrated.
  • Plan and manage contact strategies to support lead nurturing, conversion, retention, cross-sell, up-sell or to reduce churn rates.
  • Manage and build various email lists and campaigns, including the design templates, calls-to-action, email nurture streams and lead scoring model.
  • Maintain email best practices including browser/client compatibility, effectiveness of subject lines, use of images, delivery timing, engagement filtering and development of promotions best suited for the email channel.
  • Expand and optimize nurture email programs through testing and personalisation.
  • Maintain and optimize email deliverability and ensure legal compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Ensure brand consistency in image and voice in all email touch points including marketing and nurture communications.
  • Improve ROMI and customer lifetime value across all campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
  • Strong understanding of marketing KPIs, such as email marketing and marketing conversion metrics.
  • Produce training and best practice guides for email marketing and marketing automation for regional marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with other email marketers in other IMI divisions to raise the level of proficiency and nurture best practices across IMI.

Expertise required

  • A degree or equivalent in business, marketing or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Pardot and Salesforce.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in marketing operations or related field.
  • Pardot Certified (Specialist or Consultant).
  • Experience in Pardot implementation, configuration, data management, operations and working with the Salesforce Connector.
  • Track record for delivering marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment, and able to successfully keep to deadlines.
  • Experience in reporting and analysing campaign activity using Pardot reports, B2B Marketing Analytics (desirable), and can make recommendations to the business.
  • In-depth understanding between the relationship of Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Campaigns, Activities and Opportunity objects.
  • Sales Cloud knowledge and ability to set up features such as Engagement History, Campaign Influence, B2B Marketing Analytics, and the drag-and-drop email builder.
  • An understanding and experience of lead nurturing and lead scoring.
  • An understanding of Account Based Marketing techniques would be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and verbally.
  • Technical knowledge of tracking, tooling, experiment implementation, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate impact.
  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally across multiple internal teams.
  • A great teammate and self-starter that is comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment, taking initiative with limited resources, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects, always with an eye for detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Stays up to date with the latest Pardot developments and comfortable experimenting with new email and automation strategies.
